The Honorable Lou Gargiulo of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire announces that he will run for State Representative, District 14 in the Special Election, 2011. Mr. Gargiulo is the CEO and principal owner and co-founder of Great North Property Management, Inc. in Exeter, NH.
Mr. Gargiulo has spent over 35 years in business. He was a senior executive with the Stop and Shop companies for over 20 years where he managed over two hundred million dollars in assets. In 1990 Mr. Gargiulo co-founded Great North Property Management (GNPM) Inc. a real estate asset management company headquartered in Exeter. Mr. Gargiulo is especially prominent in the management of residential condominium communities. His business is one of the top ranked management companies in New England. His organization specializes in the management of residential condominium communities throughout New England. Since inception, GNPM has grown into becoming the largest real estate management firm in northern New England employing over 100 employees and operating over 300 billion dollars in real estate assets.
Mr. Gargiulo has also been involved in Republican politics in New Hampshire for over 25 years. He served as State Representative for the towns of Stratham, and North Hampton in 1992 to 1996 and took a hiatus from elected office to raise his family and develop his business.
Mr. Gargiulo hopes to take his experience in building business and creating jobs to the State House. His belief that government must balance its budget and live within its means speaks to the way he will approach his role as a State Representative if he is given the honor to serve. He will strive to bring back the New Hampshire advantage without compromising our Live Free or Die perspective.
Mr. Gargiulo is the husband of Mary Ann Gargiulo and the step-father of twins Edward and Colleen. Both children live with the Gargiulos. Edward attends Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro and Colleen attends Winnacunnet High School in Hampton. He is also the father of two grown and married children, Justin, and his wife Nicole Gargiulo of Georgetown, MA, and Julie and her husband Michael Hamilton of Epping. Mr. Gargiulo is also the Grandfather of two grandsons Jaden and Mason Gargiulo.
Mr. Gargiulo is a former commissioned US Army Officer, and a former member of the Stratham volunteer fire department where he served as an EMT and firefighter for 15 years. He was the President of the Board of Directors for the Seacoast Repertory Theater (SRT) and is currently an ex officio member of the SRT Board of Directors. Mr. Gargiulo is also a former board member for the Community Associations Institute of NH, a proud member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), a Corporator at The Provident Bank, and a member of the Portsmouth and Exeter Chamber of Commerce.
